Martyn K Jones is an expatriate Englishman living and working in Victoria BC, Canada and keeping his accent for tax purposes. His working life has taken him from Electrical Engineering to IT via a circuitous path, which has included working on a mushroom farm and hot air balloon ground crew work. This somewhat eccentric work history even includes undertaking professional level acting training during the late 1980’s and early 90’s. However, he has been writing for most of his adult life, producing anything from marketing copy to high-level technical documentation, as well as a number of unsuccessful attempts at novel length fiction and various short stories.
His first ever short story was published in October 1978 and he has since found sporadic, albeit minor, success with his quirky brand of otherworldly fiction under various pen names. His last published supernatural short story ‘Hunter’ appearing in the People’s Friend February 2006 fiction special. Since then he has written four Science fiction novels, with a fifth, the third and final epic novel of his ‘Stars’ trilogy still under development.
He is married to Angela, and has two grown up stepdaughters.
Martyn’s first contribution to the Underdog Anthologies is in Christmas Lights… and Darks. He quickly followed up with a story in Transgenre Dreams and another in Well Haunted.
