David studied biochemistry at Worcester College Oxford, five decades ago. He then worked in London advertising agencies for sixteen years, a logical move; telling all the world about the greatness of nationalised electricity supplies, pipe tobaccos, British Rail, Harp Lager, Lux soap, Jeyes Bloo, Pillsbury Refrigerated Dough, and many other nice things, before founding and running two picture framing shops in the smarter areas of South London.

Framing pictures for affluent yuppies got to him after a while, He now lives in North West England with his young family, and teaches maths and all the sciences to the more willing teenagers of the region.

David made his debut at Leg Iron Books with a story in UA16, ‘Slay Bells in the Snow‘.
